The heart question

Asked professionally: «Where does the money come from?» — Source of Funds (SOF). Your job is to turn the client's answer into a STORY the bank reads with comfort.

The dossier checklist

Identity and company:

☐ Passport, visa, Emirates ID of the owner/signatory
☐ Company license + MOA/AOA + Establishment Card
☐ Office/lease proof (substance!)

Source of funds (the heart):

☐ Bank statements from the home country (usually 6–12 months)
☐ Contracts and invoices proving the business history
☐ Salary history / dividends proofs, if relevant
☐ Sale of property/business agreements, if that is the source
☐ Tax declarations where applicable

Business story:

☐ One page: what the company does, who the clients are, expected monthly turnover, main payment countries (in/out)
☐ Website/contracts that CONFIRM the same story

🔴 Every document must match the story. A «consulting company» with statements full of goods shipments = a red flag we resolve with the senior BEFORE the bank sees it.

Your SOP in eight moves

Banking intake — map the SOF story; write it as a story, not a list.
Checklist out same day — explain WHY the bank wants each item.
Shape, don't just collect — consistency wins accounts; contradictions go to senior BEFORE submission.
Selection with senior — classic vs EMI-first, or both in parallel; complex cases = success-fee model (senior quotes).
Introduction + submission — named banker, ONE clean pack, not a drip of files.
Drive the rounds — bank question → same-day answer where possible; every round update to the client: «Bank asked for X, we sent it today, this is a normal step.»
Activation + handover — walkthrough; 🔴 remind: NEVER share online-banking credentials with anyone, including us. We never ask for passwords.
Bridge — account works → accounting starts (Division 4): «Your first VAT/CT deadlines are …, our accounting care takes it from here.»

What you must remember

☐ SOF = statements + contracts + one-page story, all telling ONE tale.
☐ One clean submission beats five partial ones.
☐ We never touch client banking credentials. Never.
